The thyroid is a small, butterfly-shaped gland located at the base of the neck, yet it plays a crucial role in maintaining overall health. A Thyroid Function Test is a series of blood tests designed to measure how well the thyroid gland is performing. TSH is produced by the pituitary gland and signals the thyroid to produce T3 and T4.
