The Next Step

On February 14th, 2024 — Valentine's Day — I landed on the streets of Calgary. I have lived at the Mustard Seed shelter every day since.

In the two years that followed I fell deeper into my addictive behaviors. For a while I was trapped in a cycle I didn't know how to escape. But somewhere inside that cycle something else was happening. A spiritual journey was beginning. I was learning what resources existed for people living on the streets — and I was quietly getting ready for the moment I would be ready to use them.

While living on the streets I wrote 39 songs that have been separated

into 3 albums. I built a brand. I created products that will be coming into the world very soon. I chose — deliberately and intentionally — to use this time to build a better future. Not someday. Now.

That future begins on June 16th, 2026.

I am entering Thorpe Recovery Centre in Blackfoot, Alberta. I chose Thorpe specifically because it addresses behavioral addiction alongside drugs and alcohol — and because it is far from the city. Far from the noise. Far enough that the only thing left to focus on is my mind, my healing, and the next chapter of this journey.

The resources I need are available to me. But they only come in a particular order. And the first step — the biggest step — is this one.

I have come a long way since Valentine's Day 2024. I have a long road ahead. But every single step I take is one step closer to the future I have been working hard to build.

I will be completely off the grid for the next two months. No phone. No internet. No way to reach me and no way for me to check in on any of it — not the album, not the platforms, not the website. Nothing.

Two months. That's it. And then I'm back.

The empire runs without me while I do the most important work I've ever done.

The empire doesn't pause. It evolves.

I'll see you on the other side.
